Welcome to the May 2005 Lock-keeper Competition..!

win a signed copy of Rick Stein's new book French Odyssey

Rick Stein's new BBC book - french odyssey - along the canal du Midi on AnjodiAs reported in the May Lockkeeper, we were very pleased to be part of
Rick Stein's new project - A French Odyssey.

Inspired by his gastronomic journey through the idyllic waterways of Southern France onboard the European Waterways luxury barge Anjodi, Rick Stein's French Odyssey explores French culinary tradition - perfect for aspiring cooks everywhere.

Beginning with a diary of his trip and then divided into 6 chapters, with classic recipes at the back, the book is illustrated throughout with stunning food and location shots.

Rick’s culinary tour on the luxury barge Anjodi takes him along the Canal du midi from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. His final destination is a little restaurant near Marseilles where several years ago he had the best seafood lunch imaginable.

Along the way he samples regional foods – from country stew in Castelsarrasin to the Montaine Noire hams of Castelnaudary. Further south he stops over in the Languedoc wine region and samples local delicacies before heading towards Marseilles via the Canal du Rhone. With over 100 recipes, Rick's gastro-tour will motivate every reader to try French cooking again and again.

We have a signed copy of French Odyssey as first prize, with two runners up also receiving a copy of the book. As usual, to win first prize, all you have to do is answer a few simple questions. Answer all questions correctly and you could be selected at random to win Rick Stein's French Odyysey

To win, please read the questions below, follow the links (and hints) then complete and submit your entry form below....as usual, all questions are multiple choice...

The competition closes on 15th June, 2005, and we will announce the lucky winner in the June 2005 edition of the lock-keeper.
