Anjodi, cruising along the Canal du Midi, painting by Stanley Rose
Hello !

I am delighted to welcome you to the first ever edition of the lock-keeper, our GoBarging newsletter.

Our aim in this newsletter is to provide news and information on our luxury hotel barges, which cruise the canals and in-land waterways in five European countries - Scotland, England, Ireland, France and Germany

Every month, we'll run features on our special interest cruises, the regions we cruise in, or tell you about some of the fascinating things to do en-route.

We'll also have regular updates from our Captains and hopefully from our passengers too. There is always something new and exciting on each trip, so we thought we'd give everyone a chance to tell their story.

To celebrate the launch of the lock-keeper, we are running a competition with a fabulous prize -
You can win a GoBarging luxury hotel barge cruise for two in 2004, on our superb barge L'Impressionniste.

This luxury all-inclusive week-long vacation can be won by entering the competition at our website.
Click here to go to the competition GoBarging Competition

You will be asked some questions about GoBarging, and the good news is that the answers are all to be found somewhere on the website and in this first edition of the lock-keeper.

Just submit your answers, and complete a simple tie-break statement telling us why you should win, and that's it, you are in the competition. The competition closes on July 25th, 2003, and the winner will be announced in the August edition of the lock-keeper, so get those entries in..!!

Why not send this newsletter to a friend and get them to enter the competition too. If you both enter and you are the lucky winner, then your friend and partner can come along for half-price - please see the Competition entry form for details.

We hope you enjoy this first edition of the lock-keeper, and we look forward to seeing you at www.gobarging.com, where you will find out all about GoBarging and keep up to date with the latest news as it breaks....

please read on and welcome aboard,
best regards,
