Guests are met at the *designated hotel in Venice on Sunday at 3.30 pm and transferred to La Bella Vita. A Prosecco Welcome Drink gives you a chance to meet the crew, followed by a late afternoon cruise along the Giudecca Canal where we admire some of the most famous monuments of Venice. Dinner on aboard, followed perhaps by an evening stroll to the magnificent St Mark’s Square. We moor overnight at Riva Sette Martiri by the Naval Museum.
Monday, Day 2 Venice to Lido to Alberoni
After breakfast transfer for golf at Cuc Golf Ferrara Golf course. Return to the barge for lunch. In the afternoon we cruise along the Lido to Alberoni for a special walk at sunset. Dinner on board
Tuesday, Day 3 Alberoni to Chioggia
In the morning we cruise to the very ancient city of Chioggia for a visit. We will admire the Cathedral, Piazzetta Vigo and the colourful fresh fish market. Transfer bus to Albarella and lunch on board. In the afternoon play your game at the Golf Club Albarella. Bus transfer to Porto Levante before cruising on the River Po while passing through a nature reserve with flocks of flamingos and other wildlife; we travel upriver to Taglio di Po for dinner ashore hosted by the owners at the beautiful 17thC Villa Ca’ Zen, a private stately home by the river where Lord Byron courted the Countes Guccioli and wrote some of his best poetry.
Wednesday, Day 4 Chioggia to Taglio di Po to Bosaro
Morning cruise leaving the Po River and entering the Canal Bianco to Adria for a walk to the city centre and the free visit of the Archaeological Museum. After lunch, transfer by bus to the Frassanelle Golf Club to play golf. Return to the barge and cruise to Bosaro for dinner followed by a private Opera Concert.
Thursday, Day 5 Bosaro to Trevenzuolo
Morning excursion with guided tour of the Renaissance city of Ferrara, including a view of the 14thC Estense Castle with its moat, drawbridges, marble balconies and the visit of Schifanoia Palace with its fabulous 15thC frescoes. We also see the cathedral façade with its sculpted images described as an illustrated Bible. Return to the barge for an afternoon canal cruise past villages and farmsteads from Zelo to Trevenzuolo, dinner on board.
Friday, Day 6 Trevenzuolo to Mantua
In the morning transfer to Verona Golf Club for your last game. Boarding at Governolo for lunch and navigation to Mantua with its captivating lakeside setting followed by a visit to the 14th century Ducal Palace housing some 15 gardens and courtyards, a museum, basilica, theatre and more than 500 rooms. Time for shopping and enjoying the city. Captain’s Farewell Dinner aboard.
Saturday, Day 7 Mantua
After breakfast, passengers are transferred to the *designated drop off point.
