I would like to compliment European Waterways on the excellent standard of our holiday.

The facilities on board were excellent, as were the food and wine, but what really made the holiday was the crew - Martin, Dean, Rachel and Dordie. Their attentiveness and cheerfulness were outstanding and everything we could possible have wanted was anticipated in advance.

As I had to put our party of eight together and made the arrangements I was apprehensive at the outset that the trip would not live up to our high expectations, but it was evident from the start that these expectations were being exceeded.

Congratulations on your high standards and many thanks for a most memorable holiday.

The Smiths - L'Art de Vivre July, 2002

On July 21 we started our one week adventure with friends on the L'Art de Vivre. It was a wonderful vacation with a great crew.

I wanted to tell you how much we appreciated the crew, Ian Taylor, Dean Savage, Paula Woodard and Damon Rubery. Not only did they provide us with excellent service but they were a delight to be with and share the experience

Paula was great at making us feel comfortable and even a bit pampered. The lunches and dinners that Damon prepared for us were outstanding. We were impressed with Dean's skills in getting us through the locks but even more impressed with his skill in relating to us particularly the evening he took us to dinner

Ian was a wonderful captain but it was his efforts to educate and inform us on the history and culture of the area that was most appreciated. In every way they made this a wonderful vacation for all of us

I will always remember the shared laughter, the presentation of our wine, cheese and meals, the shared appeciations of the French countryside and so much more

Thanks for making this a special holiday!!!!"
