Western Isles Malt Whisky
Highland Park

This is the northernmost distillery in the world! Founded in the 1790’s, it is
set on a hillside near Kirkwell, the capital of the Orkneys. In its
early years of operation, it hit its output in the church pulpit.
The peat used in the drying of the malted barley is locally dug from
shallow bogs, giving a young, rooty, heathery character to the
whisky. 12-year-old: light yellow to deep straw in colour; flowery
nose with vanilla and violets in plenty; low peat; medium wood with
chocolate and malty flavours.
Talisker

The distillery is on the exposed west coast of the Isle of Skye, taking its name from the Norse
Thalis Gair or Sloping Rock. Founded in 1831, at its zenith it had its own pier, tramway, and currency (based on the number of days worked). 10-year-old: a classic malt which tastes of the sea, with hints of smoke, peat, and iodine.
Lowland Malt Whiskies
Glenkinchie

To the East of Edinburgh Glenkinchie at Pencaitland was one of the first to cater
for visitors and a brand new facility is now up and running offering
one of the most complete visitor experiences of any distillery in
Scotland. 10-year-old; light, fragrant, with a trace of peat has a
round flavour, slightly dry with a lingering smoothness. One of the
six classic malts.
Bladnoch
This Distillery is the most southerly in Scotland, situated in Wigtonshire.
Founded in the early 1800’s is still seasonally operational, and
after a period of closure recommenced distilling in 1998. 10-year-old: light in colour with a rich nose; smooth, sweet but full and stimulating.
Campbeltown Malt WhiskY
Situated on the shore of the Mull of Kintyre, this town was literally awash with distillate
just over 100 years ago, in fact in 1886 Campbeltown had no less than
21 producing distilleries around the town.
Springbank

Established in 1828 is one of the two distilleries still remaining in Campbeltown, offers a
smooth elegant dram. A recent development has been the
distillation of a unique millennium whisky which involves the use of
only organic barley. 12-year-old: rich aroma with a slight yet
assertive sweetness, well balanced charming and elegant, rich deep
flavour. A malt drinkers dream.
