Rick Stein's new French Odyssey TV series (now repeated on Wednesday evenings at 8.30pm on BBC2 from 2nd August) and accompanying book take you on a gastronomic tour of this wonderful part of France.

French Odyssey is a journey from Bordeaux to Marseille aboard Rosa and Anjodi, finding all the glorious food and wine of the Canal du Midi - from entrecôte bordelaise and shad grilled over vine trimmings, to sarladaise potatoes fried in duck fat with garlic and parsley and on to snails Languedoc style and La Bourride and an epic Bouillabaisse at L'Epuisette a restaurant on La Corniche in Marseille.

You too can follow in Rick's footsteps to experience your very own French Odyssey.
