A Taste of Savoir Faire and Sancerre! 16th Jan 2015

European Waterways, Europe’s largest luxury hotel barge cruising company, has announced a new cruise route for the 12-passenger Savoir Faire hotel barge for the 2015 season. The vessel will provide weekly departures through the renowned Sancerre wine region of Burgundy, between Rogny-les-Sept-Ecluses and Marseilles-les-Aubigny on the Canal de Briare and the Canal Lateral à la Loire, from May 31 through August 22.
 





Magna Carta ‘Downton Abbey’ cruises 13th Jan 2015

For a number of departures this Spring on hotel barge Magna Carta’s classic cruises, an excursion to Highclere Castle is included, setting for the renowned period drama series, “Downton Abbey”. The hugely impressive Victorian castle sits on an expansive 1,000 acre estate surrounded by gardens and is the iconic home to the fictional Crawley family on the show. The “real” Downton Abbey has been owned by the Carnarvon family since 1679, where Lord and Lady Carnarvon still live today.

European Waterways is offering four, all-inclusive ‘World War One Commemorative Cruises’ in April 2015 aboard its 12-passenger hotel barge La Belle Epoque, on a cruise route that passes right through the battlefields of Northern France. 





New Base of Operations in Burgundy 27th Nov 2014

With an investment of more than £250,000 and a grant from the Regional Council of Burgundy (Conseil Regional de Bourgogne), European Waterways has opened a new operations base in the village of Ravières, right alongside the Burgundy Canal.
